What if it’s grey?…No need to panic! Here are some ideas for activities and visits sheltered from the spray, a few kilometres from the coast or indoors to stay dry until the shower passes.


1- Discover the history of the Second World War

The Juno Beach Centre, Courseulles-sur-mer: unique Canadian museum of the D-Day landing beaches with tactile terminals, interactive tools, period artefacts and moving films that immerse you in the years 1939-1945.

The museum is open daily until 2 November.

The Radar 44 Museum, Douvres-la-Délivrande: installed in the former German detection station, two refurbished period bunkers let you discover the Atlantic Wall, the history of radar and the daily life of German soldiers.

The museum is open every day.

Temporary exhibition theme:”The metamorphoses of Radar since the war: 70 years of technological innovations and new applications that have changed the world.

From Saturday 24 October to Sunday 15 November, come and discover a chronological fresco of the General’s life, audio-visual documents, period objects… An exhibition not to be missed.
Open from 2pm to 6pm (closed on Tuesdays).

2- Take a big plunge into the void!

Why not! Dare the big jump at West Adventure, in the pretty park in Reviers, dare the zip line, or climb the trees, plus, from 3 years old courses are offered!

The Cœur de Nacre cinemas have a varied programme for all the family.

4- Dreaming of castle life -closed appointment on 1 April

With its highest roofs in France and its exceptional architecture of
Renaissance and Flamboyant Gothic style, the Château de Fontaine-Henry.

Without booking, only the park is accessible, there are 12 activities suitable for all ages. Children pass under the magic hat, have a booklet to fill in to become a wizard and can have their answer corrected to get their admission letter.

The price is 6 euros per person.

5- Challenge yourself

As a team, compete in a maze, at the Lasermaxx in Douvres-la Délivrande, moments of laughter guaranteed!

Come and compete on Bumpers; these giant 1.60m motorised buoys. They spin, move forward, backward, spin and with a built-in fire button in the right handle, shoot their enemies.

Please drop by one of the 3 reception desks and you will be offered a small discount coupon. (Laser activity by reservation only, for health reasons, the rest of the centre remains open).
