D-Day Festival Normandy
End of May – mid-June
On all the D-Day landing beaches
Every year, the Normans invite you to celebrate their newfound freedom ! The D-Day Festival Normandy offers more than 100 festive events to mark the anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy on 6 June 1944.
On the programme : parade of military vehicles, bagpipe players, historical walks, concerts and swing dances, La Berniéraise water sports activities, re-enactment of a military camp…
Jardifoliz, the garden and the arts in the spotlight
The association “Le cercle des jardiniers” is organising a festival in the gardens of Courseulles-sur-Mer around art.
As you stroll through the streets of the town, the inhabitants invite you to discover their flower garden with music, paintings, photographs, dance, street art…
20 years of the Juno Beach Centre
Canada’s only museum at the D-Day landing beaches, the Juno Beach Centre pays tribute to the 45,000 Canadians who lost their lives during the Second World War, including 5,500 in the Battle of Normandy and 381 on D-Day.
In 2023, the museum celebrates its 20th anniversary with a programme of commemorations and events.
Cœur de Nacre
On 21 June, come and dance, sing and celebrate music.
Free of charge and open to all musicians, amateurs and professionals, the music festival is open to all audiences and highlights all musical genres.
The whale’s rafts
This nautical race based on the whale, the emblem of Luc-sur-Mer, promises a show full of humour, with home-made floating boats.
No timer, but a 100% fun race!
This is the event that launches the summer season in Luc-sur-Mer ! Facing the beach, this open-air rock revival festival brings together tribute bands over two days.
The tribute bands are not only copies, they allow the memory of mythical bands to live on.
Grilled fish tasting
At the beginning of the 20th century, fishermen placed freshly caught fish on a large stone plaque on the dyke of Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer.
The vendor encouraged passers-by to come and admire and buy the beautiful fish.
This event has been replaced by a convivial festival where everyone can come and enjoy small plates of grilled fish, with family or friends, facing the sea, with their feet in the sand.
Bernières-sur-Mer summer event
The associations and the inhabitants invite you to a festive weekend, with, on the program: treasure hunt, fish-farming, fair, oyster tasting, big picnic…. without forgetting a festive evening and concert.
The big wheel

Get some height ! Discover or rediscover the Courseullais panorama and Juno Beach by day or night.

Côte de Nacre music festival
Côte de Nacre
Every year, this classical music festival on the Côte de Nacre offers residents and tourists the chance to discover the repertoire and masterpieces of classical music through various concerts.
The Sea Festival
Every year, Courseulles-sur-Mer pays tribute to sailors during this colourful, friendly and fun event.
On the programme: sea songs, craft and sea market, procession and blessing of decorated boats…
Acadian Week Festival
Courseulles-sur-Mer and Côte de Nacre
During one week, fifty or so family events, concerts, theme days and commemorations are organised to honour the Acadian soldiers who landed on Juno Beach on 6 June 1944.
15 August festival
This day of celebration begins with mass and a procession from the church.
It continues with a costume parade, a large picnic and a concert.
Two runs by the sea
Les foulées gourmandes : Langrune-sur-Mer
Take part in this 13km race between Langrune-sur-Mer and Courseulles-sur-Mer without a time limit, just for fun, with stops to taste regional products.
La translutine : Luc-sur-Mer
Atypical walking race from 1km for the little ones to 10km for the big ones, which follows the sea wall and the beach of Luc-sur-Mer.
For this 2nd edition, the festival returns with varied musical experiences, shows of all kinds (street theatre, dance…) will be on the bill, promoting local art as much as possible and giving priority to Norman artists. Workshops, creative activities and games are also on the programme.

The medieval festival of the Barony
The Baronny park will plunge us into the medieval era with its local market, the parade in costume and the many family activities proposed throughout the afternoon and evening.
European Heritage Days

The Equidays, the horse festival
Show lovers and horse enthusiasts : the Equidays are back in 2023 ! The Department of Calvados invites you to a great horse festival with a travelling village, a big parade and more than 100 events to be discovered throughout Calvados.
The scallop festival
The seaside resort celebrates the star of the plate, the scallop, during a festive and musical weekend.
For the occasion, restaurant owners are offering menus based on scallops.
