Horses are freedom, they are also Normandy; where better to experience these moments than here in the Cœur de Nacre

Less known than the Pays d’Auge or the Côte Fleurie, the Côte de Nacre nevertheless has beautiful paths between land and sea.

The 12 communes of Cœur de Nacre make it a privileged destination for horseback riding: stroll on the beach at low tide, swimming on horseback or galloping along the flax fields, the choice is yours!

Three equestrian centers, located in Bernières-sur-mer, Courseulles-sur-Mer and Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer offer rides from 3 years old, training courses, group lessons and day rides.

Whether you are a seasoned rider or a beginner, you will find many activities on horseback or around horses.

  1. Gallop at low tide
The Côte de Nacre offers an idyllic coastal setting with over 10km of fine sandy beaches. It is so exhilarating to gallop at low tide, to the sound of the waves licking the sand.

  1. Admire the architectural heritage
Perched on his horse, the rider will enjoy discovering the architectural curiosities of the Cœur de Nacre villages: vestiges of the Second World War, medieval farms, Art Deco dwellings… this destination, only 2h30 from Paris, is an open air museum.

  1. Admire the sunset
From Courseulles-sur-mer to Luc-sur-mer, the 5 beaches offer a magical spectacle in the evening when the sun melts into the sea, giving it orange tones.
